  Today I missed you so much. It was nice to spend time with your Tias and Tios.  Spending Christmas with your cousins Cindy, Mary and Andy was a treat.  Andy was so fun an told me so many times how he loved you. I didn't want to even celebrate Christmas this year, but your Tia Olga made it special for us.  Holidays are so hard without you. I Love you son, and I miss you more then words can express. I miss watching you open presents. I msss buying you presents.  I miss opening presents from you. I miss your hugs.  Merry Christmas. I love you.

Happy birthday My son  / Mom
Happy Birthday Son, I know your birthday was your favorite day of the year. I laid in bed last night thinking of all your birthdays. The first one where we had a clown come to the house, and we let you dive into your cake with your hands. And most memorable was your 21st where Walt stopped the softball game to give you that silly shirt and that cap with the propellor on it. (Ryan still has it) and the softball team sprayed you with silly string. But my biggest memory was  when you and I went to Idlewild park and just talked. It was there that you told me that you had dreamed many times that you would die young and for me to be strong when it happened. It was then that you told me that I was your best friend and that you knew we had a special connection. I am trying to be strong, but as you said, I not only lost my son, I lost my best friend.

I miss so much not being able to give you a Birthday Hug and Kiss.  I love you with all my heart honey.  Close

Though our time with Mark was short, he has left a impression in our hearts and memories that is forever lasting, as I'm sure he did for all those who met him. I will always remember Mark with that boyish loving smile, speeding past 3rd into home base, always expressing a zest for life that was unmeasurable and too often infectious, thank you "Teeny"!  

It is sometimes through terrible tragedy that the greatest gifts are given and received, and it is through Mark that Jon and I received one of the greatest gifts, the love of a new family in Robin, Luis and Heather Martinez. Our prayers, love and support will be with you ALWAYS!!

My good friend Mark  / Pilot Pilot (Friend)
I am currently on vacation and decided to share my very good friend mark with my family. After Marks funueral there was this song that was instilled in my mind, I kept asking friends if they knew the song I was talking about and trying to sing to them they kept telling me to keep my day job, however in late august I got a package at my workplace and it was a package I never expected or even ordered, I however ignored it for a couple of months, the package sat on my desk and eventually ended up at my house,I was playing my worship cd's and again this package showed up, I opened it and it was a cd by an artist I have never heard of, I preceded to open it and placed it in my player to my surprise it was that very song I've been looking for, the very first song, my feelings at that time I am still unable to explain... I met Mark when he was forteen years young, we became very close two summers ago, there is'nt a day that goes by when I dont think of him,I sit on my recliner and wish Mark would come knocking on my door to try out my cooking and come hang out with me,I have lost close family before but nothing,nothing has ever hurt me like this,I know mark is with the higher power now and he knows how we all feel,I will always remember him and prayer for his family, GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!! I have known Mark  and the martinez family for about 20 yrs or more. Me and my family meet them at the Wedikind rd chuch of christ. Its has been about a year since Mark has joined our lord up in heaven. I really have not gone one day with out thinking of Mark and how much my family have really been impacked by his passing!  The questions of why , fairness, sacrafice, will continue to bogul our minds! I continue to pray to god that the effects of marks loss be somehow lessened for you Louis, Robin, and our very special angel Heather! We have pictures of mark in our living room,. in pride , of all the great memories, and happiness mark has brought to us. Playing softball with mark, all the church funtions, and the love he gave to amanda! We in my family knew Mark in a special way that some are unaware of. He was very loving to me  and also my family. He did beleive it and did truly know about our lord and savior jesus the christ!  I truly hope and pray that my family and youres, Louis, Robin and heather, stay togeather and be friends and christian brothers ands sisters togeather until we some day be revealed to our savior, up in heaven and most of all mark!!! Robin, Luis and Heather, We can't express our sorrow in words. Kristy and I were looking at photos last night and joy and tears captured our emotions as we saw Mark, Ronnie and James playing basketball and baseball as they grew up. Our trips to Disneyland were also great. We will always remember Mark for his big smile, endless engergy and kind heart. We love you and our prayers are with your family. ROBIN, LUIS AND HEATHER, I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY HOW SORRY I AM TO HEAR ABOUT MARK. I NEVER HAD THE PRIVLEDGE TO MEET HIM OR HEATHER BUT HE LOOKS LIKE A CHARMING FELLOW. ROBIN AND LUIS HOLD ON TO EACH OTHER WE WILL MEET UP WITH OUR CHILDRED AGAIN, I LOST MY DAUGHTER 6/14/04 SHE WAS ONLY 17,IT JUST DOESN'T SEEM FAIR.
